Job Description

Are you passionate about combining hands‑on HR support with  business partnership? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

Newterra, a Grundfos Water Treatment (GWT) company and leader in modular water treatment solutions, is seeking an HR Business Partner to support the team in Brockville, ON and drive strategic HR initiatives. In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders while being part of the broader global Grundfos HR network.

As our new HR Business Partner, you will be delivering day-to-day HR support across Canadian operations while partnering with leaders on people initiatives, including supporting the integration and transformation of a recently acquired business into Grundfos. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the North American HR  Water Treatment team, you'll create impact by driving seamless organizational integration and building a strong, compliant, and engaged workforce.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the primary HR contact for GWT employees in Canada, providing guidance on policies, benefits, leaves, accommodations, and employment standards.
  • Supporting full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for hourly roles across Canada, with occasional support for U.S. positions.
  • Ensuring HR compliance with Canadian labor laws, ESA, provincial requirements, and internal policies, including audit support and documentation.
  • Assisting with employee relations matters including investigations, fact-finding, documentation, and performance management cycles.
  • Supporting organizational change, leadership development, performance management, and career growth initiatives to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  •
  • Contributing to HR integration activities as Newterra transitions into the Grundfos organization.
  • Supporting engagement, inclusion, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen employee connection.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a hands-on HR professional with solid Canadian employment expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a business partner mindset who thrives balancing tactical HR delivery with strategic people priorities. We would also imagine that you have:

  • 2–5 years of HR Generalist or similar  experience with demonstrated Canadian employment law knowledge (ESA, human rights legislation, provincial requirements).
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment, leave management, and employee relations.
  • HRIS proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business or a related field.

It is a plus if you also:

  • CHRP designation or actively working towards completion.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Exposure to M&A integration or organizational transformation activities.

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with a hybrid working model.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a sense of community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

The salary range for this position is $94,900 - $139,165. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Newterra’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
