Contract Type:  Full-Time

Would you like to help us pioneer how water is generated and distributed to millions of people around the world?

At Grundfos FutureLab, we push the boundaries of innovation while working on ground-breaking opportunities that focus on building a sustainable tomorrow and creating radical game changers for Grundfos.

“This is a great opportunity to work on full-blown innovation with a real impact on humanity – and with the Grundfos machine behind you,” explains Director, Innovation Lab1, Jesper Munkholm.

Welcome to the Innovation Labs

The Innovation Labs are where it all begins. The Grundfos FutureLab consists of 3 Innovation Labs, each focusing on a different innovation area: Hydrate Humanity, Sustainably Cool and Circular Water.

You will join the Hydrate Humanity team as the technology lead, and together with a group of entrepreneurial souls – like yourself – you will be responsible for converting ideas into technological possibilities for new emerging products.

Conceptualise bold ideas into new sustainable solutions

You will be working with evaluating, creating, and developing strategic technologies within the context of complex, novel, and ground-breaking solutions that will shape the future of Grundfos.

What defines the projects is that they are long-term development projects characterised by high uncertainty. And a key part of your role will be to balance the development of long-term technology visions with short-term deliverables and practical needs to ensure high-speed progress.

Moreover, you can look forward to a role that will take you around the world, as you will be travelling approx. 30% of your time, interacting with colleagues in development functions and divisions, from operational to VP levels. Customers, partners, and suppliers will also be part of your network, just as you will be collaborating closely with the heads of technology for the other Labs.

Furthermore, it will fall upon you to:

  • Apply expertise in entrepreneurial development, including testing, prototyping, technology selection, solution architecture, development planning and value chain integration
  • Ensure development of a holistic, well-balanced technical concept and drive a successful implementation
  • Ensure proper technological impact by engaging and challenging stakeholders and project developers with regards to technological thinking and ways of working
  • Support critical verification and validation of technology aspects through close interaction with potential customers and suppliers
  • Support technology excellence in entrepreneurship by exploring new methods, models, and technologies, and validate these with customers across geographies and business segments
  • Calculate component, product, and manufacturing costs

Experience with highly ambitious innovation

Needless to say, you have an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset. Also, a high degree of uncertainty motivates you. This means that you want to work on projects that will take years to turn into tangible solutions (if they even get that far). And, as you will have many touchpoints within our organization as well as with customers, you will need excellent networking skills.

In addition, we imagine you have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technology and product development of innovative business offerings within a complex business environment
  • Experience working with technology development processes preferably within manufacturing or digital industries
  • Innovation experience from a large industrial company or alternatively a successful entrepreneur

Experience with water treatment will be considered an advantage.
