Research & Development
Technical Product Owner
Job Description

Are you ready to help shape a more sustainable and inclusive future with Grundfos?
We’re looking for a collaborative and purpose-driven Technical Product Owner who thrives on transforming diverse customer needs into impactful product solutions. In this key role, you’ll connect vision with execution—empowering our Development Teams and ensuring our product backlog delivers meaningful value to people and the planet.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Owner, you’ll play a vital role in guiding product development by managing the Technical Product Backlog and aligning it with customer needs and strategic goals. You’ll collaborate across functions, foster agile ways of working, and help create an environment where everyone can contribute and grow.

Moreover, you will be:

  • Representing product development deliverables in project management and stakeholder reviews.
  • Clearly expressing and prioritizing Product Backlog items from an end-to-end value chain perspective.
  • Ensuring backlog visibility, transparency, and clarity for all stakeholders.
  • Supporting Development Teams in understanding backlog items to the required level of detail.
  • Preparing forecasts, estimates, risk assessments, and budgets for product development.
  • Driving prioritization of urgent tasks in collaboration with Product Managers.
  • Engaging in agile transformation efforts and aligning cross-functional deliverables with internal and external partners.

Your background
We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of technical insight, leadership, and a collaborative mindset. You value diverse perspectives, are committed to continuous learning, and are motivated by making a positive impact.

We imagine that you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role with responsibility for product backlogs and delivery.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, ideally with prior Product Owner experience.
  • The ability to manage product roadmaps, set clear goals, and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to align diverse stakeholders and share decisions transparently.
  • Experience working in agile environments and leading change across teams.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • Experience with integrated product development in large organizations and technical knowledge in mechanics would be an advantage.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, and experience working in international, cross-functional teams.

What’s in It for You?

At Grundfos, you’ll be part of a global, inclusive leadership community that values curiosity, collaboration, and courage. You’ll help shape a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered to make a difference—guided by our six core values and a shared sense of purpose.

We support your growth with tools and opportunities to develop your leadership skills and explore new areas whether in diversity & inclusion, coaching, or culture.

You’ll also enjoy:

  • A welcoming, inclusive environment with employee-led forums for open dialogue and connection.
  • A well-equipped home office setup and encouragement to collaborate and learn on-site.
  • Flexible working hours and up to 3 additional paid days off for volunteering.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, parental support, and access to well-being programs and consultants.
  • Continuous learning through the Grundfos Academy to support your personal and professional development.
