Student Assistant for Mechanical Design & Simulations
Job Description

Would you like to turn your theoretical toolbox into practical experience working with Mechanical Simulations?

In Mechanical Design & Simulations, we are looking for a student assistant to support with various engineering and simulation tasks across the Grundfos product portfolio.
You will join a department with 10 colleagues, all working with Mechanical Simulations. We guarantee a steep learning curve, and we look forward to sharing our knowledge with you – and hear about your ideas.

What is the job about?

We believe that everyone in Grundfos has passion and potential – as well as the power to influence. This is the environment where you will work as student assistant. We imagine that you will contribute to the development of new simulation capabilities, support Product Lifecycle tasks and assist with various development projects. Experience with ANSYS products is a large advantage, but on-the-job training is possible. 

This includes working with:
•    Perform static analyses
•    Conduct fatigue calculations
•    Process test data
•    Create material models
•    Handle other ad hoc tasks

You will be working for 4-10 hours per week at our headquarters, but we are of course ready to schedule your working hours around exams and school work.  Additionally, there is a possibility of working from home on agreed days.

What do you need to apply?

-    You are studying at bachelor or master’s level within Mechanical Engineering and possess knowledge within Mechanical Simulations and FEA. 
-    You show initiative and work proactively and independently on new assignments, as this will help you make the most of your time with us.
-    You have an international outlook and speak and write English fluently.
