As our new Software Engineer, you will be developing PLC software and intelligent algorithms for prototype systems in our Innovation Lab, enabling Grundfos to explore and validate new system concepts that shape the future of water technology. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Systems Team Lab team, you'll create impact by delivering fast, focused PLC control solutions for prototype exploration and testing that create new growth options for Grundfos in systems and services..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Write and maintain general PLC control software for prototype and test systems
- Develop optimization algorithms for water treatment and other system applications
- Perform startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled systems
- Implement best-in-class practices to deploy and adjust PLC software faster and with higher quality
- Collaborate closely with business developers, technical specialists, and project managers in a multi-functional team
- Support customer-facing deployment and adjustment of systems when needed
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a hands-on automation engineer with strong PLC programming skills, a knack for algorithm development, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced prototyping environment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Degree in electrical, automation, or related engineering discipline with 5-7 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in writing and understanding structured text/code for PLC programming
- Experience working with Beckhoff PLCs
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
It is a plus if you also:
- Programming experience in C++ or C#
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or cloud-based IoT platforms
- Experience with water treatment or process control systems
You'll also be available for travelling up to 20 days per year.
