Are you passionate about driving sales growth and being a subject matter expert? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Engineer to lead our efforts in expanding our market through value-selling.
As Senior Sales Development engineer/Key Account Manager you become key account manager for large accounts in Europe, thus you develop new business, and serve as the go-to expert for our sales team within the area. You’ll also play a key role in upskilling our sales resources through tandem visits, training, and coaching.
You become a part of Grundfos Industry Division and report directly to the Area Sales Director, Industry.
What is the job about?
You become responsible for your own portfolio of Large Accounts, managing the budget and profitability, as well as working with Channel Management.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a penetration plan to increase Grundfos’s share of wallet within these specific accounts.
- Provide both commercial and technical support.
- Train and coach, the distributors team to help them grow their accounts.
- Collect valuable market intelligence and offer meaningful insights to the business.
- Secure sales on large opportunities and serve as the representative for marketing interactions and new product launches.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the product relevant network across Europe.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
About you
You excel in a matrix organization, demonstrating a strong ability to navigate and thrive in such environments. To succeed in this role, you are customer-oriented and good at building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients. You do not give up easily, even in challenging situations. Collaboration is one of your key strengths, and with your adaptable mindset you embrace new challenges with enthusiasm.
Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
- Extensive relevant experience within a sales role, preferably from technical sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or similar - combined with commercial skills/education is preferred.
- Preferably experience with (chemical) Water Treatment and Dosing & Disinfection.
- Experience from working in a large international organization.
- Experience from SEKO, EMEC, Prominent, Watson Marlow, Milton Roy, Nalco, Suez WT, would be ideal.
- Strong analytical skills and capable of understand complex industrial applications and processes.
- Fluent in English, written and verbally.
If you have a strong understanding of the dosing and disinfection market, including relevant channel partners, end-users, distributors, this will be prioritized.
