Associate Regulatory Specialist within Product Sustainability

The sustainability agenda is emerging in almost all upcoming regulations with EcoDesign (ESPR) as the European spearhead. With your insight into product sustainability regulation, you will be a cornerstone in the team that ensures that Grundfos’ products maintain its world class position on sustainability.
As an associate Regulatory Product Sustainability Specialist, you will have a key role in securing that Grundfos products and offerings meet global sustainability requirements, and you will have a direct impact on reducing the environmental impact of our products. You will become part of a dedicated team with global team colleagues.
What is the job about?
As a member of the Global Product Compliance team, you will support Grundfos to make products even more sustainable by providing regulatory advice to our divisions enabling them to improve parameters like energy efficiency, material efficiency, and repairability.
You will be responsible for monitoring regulatory and voluntary product sustainability requirements, translating these into actionable work plans, as well as supporting their implementation.
Key elements of the role involve:
• Monitor product sustainability-related regulations and initiatives and translate them into actionable requirements for Grundfos’ Divisions.
• In collaboration with internal stakeholders, define and develop KPIs, which enables tracking of progress on product sustainability.
• Support Product Management and Product Development on related topics, such as recycled content, PEF, EPDs, energy efficiency, repairability, etc.
• Support 3rd party certifications, such as cradle-to-cradle, UL recyclability, EPD reviewers, etc. on circularity & sustainability, e.g. by providing guidance and advise to Grundfos’ LCA-team.
• Contribute to creating the necessary frameworks, processes, and tools to enable product sustainability compliance across the organization.
• Continuously improve the above tools.
What do you need to apply?
We are searching for a candidate with a good understanding of product sustainability regulation, technical product understanding, and advanced stakeholder/project management skills. We value significant understanding of the area over experience.
We imagine that you have:
• Relevant legal- or technical university degree;
• Good understanding of general product regulation – including the role of standards, and valuable insight into current and upcoming sustainability requirements for products;
• Significant technical background;
• Experience with some of the following areas: EcoDesign (ESPR), life cycle assessments (LCA)/Product environmental footprint (PEF); sustainable product design; and energy efficiency;
• Project management experience;
• Fluent in English.
