As our new Senior Mechanical Concept Specialist , you will be creating and maturing mechanical concepts and designs as part of our Modularization Master Plan, driving modules from early hypothesis through 3D design, feasibility studies, and physical or virtual demonstrators. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Mechanical Concepts and CAD- Team, you'll create impact by Transforming modular ideas into production-ready designs that enable scalable, reusable product architectures across Grundfos's global pump portfolio..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop mechanical concepts and mature designs for Modularization Projects across pump-end, motor, and system mechanics
  • Execute the end-to-end process from modular hypothesis through conceptual drafting, feasibility studies, and design maturation
  • Specify and order physical or virtual demonstrators to validate designed modules and products
  • Prepare developed modules for easy implementation by creating Virtual Products and Parametric CAD Templates
  • Collaborate closely with Chief Architects, Divisional Product Development Teams, and Mechanical Specialists to ensure design alignment
  • Enrich modules for easy re-use and selection across development projects

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a hands-on mechanical design engineer with strong conceptual thinking, 3D CAD expertise, and the collaborative mindset to bridge modular architecture ideas with production-ready designs. We would also imagine that you have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Strong 3D CAD design expertise, preferably with CATIA
  • Proven ability to work across conceptual design and design maturation phases
  • Solid understanding of production processes and fluency in English (verbal and written)

It is a plus if you also:

  • Pump knowledge across commercial, domestic, industrial, and water utility applications
  • Experience with design simulation tools such as ANSYS Discovery
  • Familiarity with tolerancing calculations and modularization methodologies
