Senior Electronics Development Engineer

Application Deadline:
Workplace:  Hybrid Position
Location:

Bjerringbro, DK, 8850

Contract Type:  Full-Time
Employment Type:  Regular

Looking for a place where you can dig deep into electronics design for integrated products? A place, where you can share your interests with other experts who are just as passionate as you are?

Then come and join us at Grundfos Domestic Building Service (DBS), Product Development and make your own mark on the pumps of the future. In DBS our winning aspiration is to offer homeowners the most attractive choices for sustainable homes and comfortable lives.

“We really want to foster creativity here. So, we’ve introduced initiatives like Pioneer Fridays – where we can get together and focus solely on thinking up and exploring innovative ideas. It keeps us curious,” says your new manager Jørgen Vest Sørensen.

Join us at the heart of product development!

Within our Domestic Building Services division at our headquarters in Bjerringbro, you will join a strong function dedicated to maximising the quality and durability of our circulation pumps.

Your team consists of electronics developers, mechanics developers, PCB layout specialists and other brilliant minds – 12 skilled and dedicated colleagues in total – all working in an agile collaborative environment. We are a diverse bunch – and we thoroughly enjoy and embrace the dynamics that comes from this.

What is the job about?

You will work on all phases of the development projects from early ideation to verification of the final product. As senior electronics development engineer in the team, you will have a central role in ensuring that the team’s designs are optimized, highly producible and adhere to our high standards of quality and durability.

Typically design tasks are around power solutions, EMC, microcontroller peripherals, user interfaces and I/O. On top of developing new products, we also maintain our products and solutions already in the market. Tasks are typically cost out, 2nd source solutions or investigating potential issues observed by our customers.

You will collaborate broadly in the Grundfos organization e.g. with:

  • Our Technology Innovation function, to take new strategic components and technologies into our products
  • Process Specialists in our Electronic Factory, to ensure easy and optimal manufacturing of the products
  • Product Compliance specialists, to ensure compliance – typically towards VDE or UL certifications
  • Other teams in the product development projects
  • Colleagues in other electronics teams – to ensure high re-use, collaboration and professional development

As a person, you are outgoing, have a high drive and enjoy working with others. This is important since you will be collaborating with colleagues across the organization as well as with the public authorities on electrical safety. On the other hand, you can expect to be met with enthusiasm from your colleagues, as they are always happy to collaborate and provide ideas and knowledge if you are ever stuck.

You thrive doing in-depth research to find more long-term and durable solutions but can also be pragmatic when we need a solution fast.

Your background:

We imagine that you:

  • Have a bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Have 5+ years of experience working within integrated product development, providing you with technical knowledge and experience with reliable designs within power circuits, micro controllers and peripherals.
  • Uses simulation as an integrated way of working
  • Understand the benefits of modularization
  • Are experienced within product development processes and planning of design work
  • Speak and write English at a high level – Danish is a plus

What’s in it for you?

Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path. You’ll be welcomed from day one into an inclusive, trusting environment guided by six core values.

In addition, your day-to-day benefits include:

  • If you’ll be working from your home office, we’ll make sure you are well equipped with a good workstation. However, you are always welcome to our offices where you can engage, learn, and have fun with colleagues
  • On top of it, flexible working hours and up to 3 days’ additional paid leave for volunteering of your choice
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, parental support, internal well-being consultants and programmes
  • Access to the modern Grundfos Academy to pursue further both personal and professional development
  • Diverse, inclusive environment with employee-led forums offering colleagues a safe place to connect and share openly
