As the Senior Director of Architecture & Modularization, you will lead a world-class team of managers and technical experts across Denmark, Serbia, and China. Your leadership will be crucial in driving advancements and optimizing efficiency in our manufacturing.

 

In this pivotal role, you will define and execute the group-wide architecture and modularization strategy within manufacturing, ensuring that new manufacturing architectures and modules are developed, standardized, and matured to a production-ready state.

 

You will be based in our Headquarters in Bjerringbro and must expect to have most of your workdays here. 

 

Your Mission

You will play a strategic role in shaping the future of manufacturing equipment at Grundfos. Your leadership will drive global standardization, innovation, and efficiency, ensuring that that Grundfos gains value from modularization of manufacturing equipment that is seamlessly integrated across divisions. Your proven leadership capabilities in complex environments will together with the global team drive the impact needed to ensure Grundfos’ manufacturing competitiveness in the future

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and lead the Architecture & Modularization Strategy for manufacturing equipment across divisions, including governance of modularization.
  • Set and implement global standards for modularization and standardization, ensuring consistency in manufacturing equipment across Grundfos.
  • Develop, mature, and manage the lifecycle of new manufacturing platforms and architectures, including all necessary interfaces and standards.
  • Ensure alignment with roadmaps and technology projects, optimizing the utilization of architectures and modules.
  • Oversee simulation capabilities, setting strategy, defining tools, and establishing standards for advanced manufacturing simulations.
  • Lead prototyping efforts for new platforms and innovations, driving progress from concept to production readiness.
  • Define strategic equipment partnerships in collaboration with the Group AME partnership function and divisional stakeholders.

To excel in this role, we imagine that you have: 

  • A master’s degree (M.Sc) in mechanical, electrical, or production engineering.
  • 10+ years of expertise in leading and developing global teams in complex organisations, ideally within R&D. Relevant experience within architecture and modularization is a plus.
  • In-depth experience developing and implementing operational processes, preferably within Research & Development or Manufacturing.
  • A deep understanding of business dynamics, market drivers, and competitive landscapes.
