Are you passionate about data management? We are looking for a super analytical senior data specialist to join our Multidisciplinary Laboratory Team.
 

What is the job about?
As our Senior Data Engineer you will be involved in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, focusing on data collection, data storage, management, processing, and data presentation from our test equipment in the Grundfos Laboratories.
 

Our research and development is essential for staying ahead with our products and this role contributes to ensuring that our data systems are efficient, reliable, and tailored to the unique needs of mechanical and electrical engineering.
 

In this role, you will be working across locations globally in Grundfos. The position is located at our headquarters in Bjerringbro and requires that you are already located in Denmark.
 

Your activities will include: 

  • Improve the implementation of robust data storage systems suitable for mechanical and electrical experimental data, ensuring high reliability and performance. 
  • Develop data management strategies that effectively handle the data extraction, validation, storage, protection, and processing of data generated in the laboratory. 
  • Create and optimize data processing workflows and batch processing, specific to mechanical and electrical laboratory needs. 
  • Develop and maintain data visualization and presentation tools to aid in the analysis and interpretation of complex experimental data. 
  • Work closely with motor, electrical, and hydraulic engineers to understand their data requirements and develop solutions that enhance research outcomes. 
  • Ensure the security of data systems, implementing protocols and measures to protect sensitive research data. 
  • Provide training and support to laboratory staff in using data tools and systems. 
  • Document all data engineering processes and maintain records of system configurations and updates.

 

Your background
We will be looking for a person with an outgoing service mindset and good communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical team members. With a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, you have easy access to coming up with solutions and getting things done. With your senior capacity, you have the insight and overview to prioritize and execute your tasks in collaboration with your team and stakeholders.
 

Key qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience  with software development
  • Experience in designing and implementing data management systems in a progressive environment with a focus on data validity
  • A relevant Bachelor/Master's degree in Data Science or related engineering 
  • Proven experience in data handling and system architecture, preferably in a laboratory environment
  • Strong capability in data management systems and software relevant to data processing and visualization
  • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW programming
  • Skilled in #C /.Net 
  • Accustomed with Python
  • Well-founded in SQL / Time Series Database setup, queries and scripting
  • Knowledge of installation and configuration of remote data logging systems
  • Familiar with Windows Server/Services
  • Proficient in English, and Danish is an advantage
