What is the job about?

You'll be an integral part of the digital development team within the Commercial Buildings division and working in close collaboration with our Digital Solutions department.  Our mission is to innovate, develop, and introduce pioneering digital solutions tailored to our customers.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you'll have significant influence in defining the trajectory of digital applications, focusing on crafting durable and adaptable solutions that drive our IoT ecosystem and Commercial Buildings Solutions forward. Your primary focus will be on building robust and scalable solutions, collaborating closely with peers and cross-functional teams to ensure excellence in delivery while perpetually enhancing our team's expertise.

 

We are consistently enhancing our multi-tenant platform on Microsoft Azure Cloud through the utilization of an extensive tech stack comprising state-of-the-art technologies, programming languages, and development tools, including: 

  • Microservices and event-driven solution-architecture 
  • C#, .Net 8, ASP.NET, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Datadog, SonarCloud, BlackDuck, Seeker, Azure DevOps
  • Micro frontend architecture, TypeScript and, React[PR1] 
  • High security and coding standards, with extensive coverage of testing 

 

Your primary duties include:

  • Design and develop secure and streamlined backend systems and services tailored for Commercial Buildings’ and District Energy applications.
  • Uphold scalability, reliability, and performance standards across backend services.
  • Participate in architectural planning, design discussions, and code assessments.
  • Work closely with the frontend team to devise and execute efficient solutions.
  • Partner with core teams to seamlessly integrate IoT components and services into our product line.
  • Offer expertise, assistance, and mentorship to fellow team members and colleagues. 

Your background:

  • You probably possess a software development degree or boast equivalent expertise gained through years of hands-on practice.
  • Proficient in C#, .NET, and adept at microservice deployment, with a readiness to acquire additional skills.
  • Familiarity with contemporary DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, testing, infrastructure as code, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • experience in Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative disposition, and a preference for teamwork.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and processes.
  • Experience with IoT applications, protocols and technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

 

Our team currently work in two feature squads. With a comprehensive roadmap ahead of us we want to add one more squad to the team. As such we are looking to hire more colleagues with Front-End and Back-End competences.
