Engineering
Product Development Engineer
Job Description

Are you passionate about ensuring product quality through rigorous validation and driving traceability across complex development projects? Do you want to work on something bigger than day-to-day development - a major strategic initiative that will shape our future platforms? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Product Development Engineer, you will be leading the advancement of next-generation pump and motor technologies to strengthen sustainable groundwater solutions for customers worldwide. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Product Development team, you'll create impact by driving structured validation practices that ensure our products meet the highest quality and compliance standards before reaching customers worldwide.

Your main responsibilities include:

Drive and coordinate validation activities across projects, ensuring structured planning, execution, and traceability between requirements, verification, and validation results
Define and maintain validation plans, strategies, and test frameworks — ensuring acceptance criteria are clearly aligned with stakeholder needs
Identify risks, gaps, and inconsistencies in requirements and testing, and lead mitigation actions to support release readiness
Collaborate with system engineering, design, and test teams to ensure robust system-level performance and compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes, tools, and methods across the organization
Support and guide teams on test coverage, validation methods, and quality decision-making

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a structured and analytical engineer with strong cross-functional collaboration skills, a proactive ownership mindset, and the ability to connect requirements, testing, and validation outcomes while maintaining both detail focus and system-level perspective. We would also imagine that you have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience in validation, testing, or verification of complex products or systems
Understanding of requirements management, traceability principles, and quality/compliance standards
Familiarity with structured development processes and tools (e.g., traceability tools, test management systems)

It is a plus if you also:

Exposure to systems engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches
Experience with root cause analysis and defect handling in product development contexts
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
