Re-post:
Do you enjoy turning a schematic into a robust PCB design—working hands-on with component placement, routing, design rules, and ensuring it can be built the same way every time in production?
As our PCB Layout Designer, you will develop and build PCB layouts that are ready for prototype and release. Sometimes you will start from a mature schematic; other times you will create the schematics in collaboration with Hardware Designers before the layout process can be started. During the layout phase you will align with hardware, mechanics and production on placement strategy, critical nets, keep-outs and mechanical constraints. You will prepare manufacturing files, join design reviews, update the layout based on feedback, and coordinate with PCB suppliers when something needs clarification.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Commercial Building Service Product Development team, you'll create impact by Shaping the electronics at the heart of our MAGNA and MIXIT product lines, ensuring world-class PCB designs that move from prototype to mass production seamlessly..
Your main responsibilities include:
- Design and optimize PCB layouts based on schematics and early layout concepts, in close collaboration with hardware, mechanics and production—ensuring manufacturability for large-scale production
- Optimize PCB panel designs to maximize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Transfer PCB designs to 3D CAD environments for mechanical integration with cross-functional teams
- Order and coordinate PCB prototypes, supporting the full cycle from design to prototype validation
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant design rules, standards, and internal procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams, group functions, and external suppliers to align on design requirements
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented electronics professional with a strong track record in PCB layout design for production, known for finishing what you start and closing every loop. We would also imagine that you have:
- Educational background within electronics or a related technical discipline
- Several years of experience designing PCB layouts for large-scale production environments
- Proficiency with PCB design and layout tools and understanding of simulation software and Gerber viewers
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
It is a plus if you also:
- Experience with PADS Logic and PADS Layout
- Background working within agile product development teams
- Skilled user of MS Office programs
Why you will love working here
We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
