Research & Development
Modularization Consultant
Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping modular product architectures that drive strategic innovation across an entire organization? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Modularization Consultant, you will be playing an integral role in modularization projects that deliver major product portfolio improvements, consolidating insights from commercial, design, operations, and finance domains into Master Plans that set the strategy for future product innovations. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Architecture & Modularization team, you'll create impact by driving the modularization journey that streamlines development processes, generates significant financial gains, and shapes the future of Grundfos' product portfolio.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Drive Modularization Project deliveries alongside Chief Architects, consolidating findings and drawing conclusions across commercial, technical, and financial domains
  • Co-facilitate cross-functional workshops and analyze product data to enable strategic decision-making
  • Prepare and communicate Master Plan presentations for board-level stakeholders
  • Guide development projects to comply with modularization strategy and promote adoption of Grundfos' module platforms
  • Support the Modularization & Standardization (MOST) change journey through training and clear communication
  • Contribute to maturing modularization tools, templates, and supporting systems

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a strategic thinker with a value-chain mindset who thrives at the intersection of technical and business-oriented decisions, translating big-picture insights into tactical plans. We would also imagine that you have:

  • MSc in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software, or related field)
  • Interest and understanding of modularization, standardization, product structures, and architectures
  • Experience working at a conceptual design level with understanding of the full value chain (market, product/technology, production, and finance)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to transform complex information into clear, pragmatic outcomes

It is a plus if you also:

  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel), and Power BI
  • Experience building and managing stakeholder networks across organizational levels, functions, and geographies
  • Familiarity with business case calculations and financial analysis

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
