If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Mechanical Simulation Engineer.

What is the job about?

As a Mechanical Simulation Engineer, you will be an integral part of our PD Multistage department. Your role will involve developing and applying state-of-the-art mechanical simulations and optimization tools to ensure the robustness and high performance of our products. You will work closely with colleagues to integrate simulations within our virtual development process and support the evolving needs of product and cross-domain/physics simulations.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced mechanical simulations and optimization, including non-linear, modal, harmonic, fatigue, and fracture analyses.
  • Conduct parameter and topology optimization studies to develop high-performing, robust, and cost-effective components.
  • Scope new simulation capabilities to ensure continuous state of the art mechanical development in PD Multistage.
  • Ensure a robust link between geometrical models and simulation models to support our virtual realization process.
  • Mentor colleagues in the use and results analyse of FEA and programming to democratize simulation capabilities.
  • Participate in improving our simulation workflows and processes.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of structural mechanics, physics, and materials.
  • Preferably 2-5 years of experience in structural simulations and FEA.
  • Technical background in mechanical simulations and industrial programming skills (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with optimization workflows and parametric CAD models.
  • Knowledge of ANSYS, OptiSLang, and CATIA is an advantage but not required.
  • Pro-active team player with strong interpersonal.
  • Analytic, systematic, and structured approach to work.
  • Experience working in multi-cultural and international environments.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and mentor Design Engineers.
