Legal & Compliance
Legal Counsel
Job Description

Are you a commercially minded legal professional who thrives on advising international businesses on complex contract matters and driving legal innovation through digitalization? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.

As our new Legal Counsel, you will be providing broad commercial legal advice across Grundfos, including contract drafting, review, and negotiations spanning sale of goods, service contracts, digital offerings, and distribution agreements - while championing process optimization and legal technology adoption.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Group Legal team, you'll create impact by enabling Grundfos to pursue commercial opportunities with confidence by delivering pragmatic legal guidance and implementing scalable legal tools that empower stakeholders across the organization.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including sale of goods, service agreements, purchase contracts, digital offerings, and agent/distributor agreements
  • Advise regional and area management, finance, purchasing, and other key stakeholders on commercial legal matters, balancing risk with business objectives
  • Design and implement Legal Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tools, process automation, and AI-driven solutions to increase legal efficiency and stakeholder self-service
  • Develop and deliver legal training, good-practice guidelines, and awareness programs for stakeholders across selected geographies and functions
  • Ensure completion of Critical Operating Tasks for Legal and maintain compliance with Grundfos legal standards and policies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Group Finance, Group Purchasing, IS, HR, Marketing, and CSSE teams

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a commercially astute legal professional with strong stakeholder management skills, a passion for digital transformation of legal processes, and proven experience bridging law firm rigor with in-house pragmatism. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Master's degree in law and/or business law
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining law firm background with in-house experience at an international corporation
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract work including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sale of goods, service, purchase, and distribution agreements
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with digital offerings, SaaS agreements, or technology-related contracts
  • High proficiency in legal technology, AI tools, and process optimization initiatives
  • Additional language skills beyond English

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
