As our new Lead Product Safety Specialist, you will be the Electrical Safety & Compliance Technical Authority within Product Compliance. You will support development teams, help secure global Market Access, and influence technical decisions across the Grundfos portfolio.

What you will be doing

In Product Compliance, you will help ensure safe, compliant products reach global markets while strengthening technical capability through technical leadership.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Act as lead specialist for Electrical Safety, Functional Safety, and product approvals across Power Drives, industrial and household products.
  • Support products from concept through verification, certification, market launch, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Lead technical reviews, standards interpretation, conformity assessments, and risk assessments.
  • Act as Functional Safety Manager for applicable product families and maintain continued conformity of certified products.
  • Build technical capability through coaching, knowledge sharing, and practical guidance.
  • Work with certification bodies, testing laboratories, and industry organizations on compliance topics.

You are a technically strong engineer with deep expertise in electrical safety and product compliance. You combine analytical thinking with practical judgement and can translate complex standards and regulatory requirements into clear engineering decisions.

You may be an experienced Lead specialist or a strong Senior specialist ready for the next step.

We imagine you have:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, plus 6+ years working with product safety, electrical compliance, electrotechnical standards, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, EMC, Functional Safety, and global product approval.
  • Experience with standards like IEC 61800, IEC 60730, ISO 12100, or similar electrotechnical standards.
  • Experience supporting product development through conformity assessments, risk assessments, and product approvals.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical standards and translate them into practical engineering guidance while balancing technical, compliance, and project considerations.

It is a plus if you have:

  • Experience with PDS, switchgear, control panels, industrial equipment, or household electrical products.
  • Experience working with certification, 3rd party laboratories, and global market access.
  • Experience in a Functional Safety Manager role (IEC 61800-5-2).
