Research & Development
Lead Product Development Technician
Job Description

Are you a hands-on lab professional who thrives at the intersection of R&D innovation and practical prototype execution?

Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As our new Lead HVAC OEM Lab Technician, you will be serving as the link between the customers of the lab and day-to-day work — building and testing prototypes, ensuring lab capacity and equipment availability, and supporting overall test planning and related activities (preparation, documentation and follow-up). You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being and a sense of belonging.

What you will be doing
As a key part of the HVAC OEM Laboratory team, you'll create impact by bridging engineering vision and lab execution to accelerate prototype delivery, elevate test quality, and drive continuous improvement across our HVAC OEM development pipeline.

Your main responsibilities include:
•    Build and test prototypes, execute design verification activities, and document results with clear traceability and repeatability
•    Translate engineering tasks into actionable test plans, clarify requirements with R&D/NPI stakeholders, and deliver practical solutions on schedule
•    contribute to plan and coordinate lab resources, schedules, and equipment to support stable throughput and on-time project delivery
•    Advise internal lab customers on priorities, aligning laboratory execution with concept and product development timelines
•    Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and laboratory procedures while maintaining an audit-ready environment
•    Drive continuous improvement in test methods, workflows, and standard work — including lean initiatives and coaching of fellow technicians if needed

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a skilled, hands-on lab professional with deep experience in prototype builds and structured testing, a strong coordination mindset bridging R&D and lab execution, and a passion for quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

We would also imagine that you have:
•    Relevant technical education (e.g., Production Technologist, Mechanical/Automation/Mechatronics Technician, or similar)
•    7–10 years' experience in laboratory/test and prototype build within a product development environment
•    Proven hands-on competence with test setups, data analysis (trend/variation analysis, basic statistics), and structured reporting
•    Professional working proficiency in both Danish and English

Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
•    A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
•    Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
•    Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
•    Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
