What is the job about?

As Lead Finance Business Partner – IND Operations Europe, you will represent Finance in the management team of the plant in Pfinztal, Germany, and potentially other assembly sites within the region. You will proactively support and constructively challenge business plans, drive performance management, and strengthen decision-making through high-quality financial insights.

You will report directly to Senior Finance Manager, Divisional OPS FBP, Industry, and collaborate with key stakeholders across Operations and Finance. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal contribution to Group profitability and providing financial leadership at the German plant.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide forward-looking financial insights to support strategic and tactical business planning for the plant(s).
  • Drive financial performance management within the plant(s) and support the development of best practices across all plants in the division.
  • Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all financial matters within the plant(s).
  • Develop financial acumen across all levels and functions of the plant(s).
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Shared Services, and Compliance Controlling to ensure financial integrity and alignment.

Your background:

We’re looking for a finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for business partnering. Moreover, we imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within operations, supply chain, or FP&A
  • A solid understanding of financial principles and performance management
  • Experience in business partnering and strategic financial planning in a global environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills
  • Familiarity with financial systems and process development

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be an invaluable part of our leadership team at the Pfinztal plant—a diverse network of pioneers guiding others to see possibilities, not problems. You’ll play a key role in spreading our optimistic, can-do attitude to advance global innovation and purpose. You’ll also embody and promote our six core values, helping colleagues live them every day and make a difference in global projects.

We support you in navigating your own career and development path, offering tools to hone your leadership craft—both within your field and in areas such as diversity & inclusion, coaching, and culture.

In addition, your day-to-day benefits include:

  • Flexible working hours and up to 3 days’ additional paid leave for volunteering of your choice.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, parental support, and access to internal well-being consultants and programs.
  • Access to the modern Grundfos Academy for personal and professional development.
  • A diverse and inclusive environment with employee-led forums offering safe spaces to connect and share openly.
