What is the job about? 
 

As a Lead Business Development Manager at Commercial Building Service, your primary responsibility is to spearhead business development initiatives aimed at identifying and developing profitable growth opportunities across the company's global operations in the CBS sector. You will be responsible for crafting and executing growth strategies, translating them into real-world business opportunities that will improve growth and profitability for the company. You will be part of a BD team but will work across CBS in different projects and with many stakeholders.



Your main responsibilities: 
 

•    Identifying strategic opportunities and market trends to develop strategic focus areas for CBS
•    Developing a certain project from a business development perspective, collaborating with stakeholders in S&M and the project to align business strategies hereunder go to market and business models.
•    Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gain market knowledge and translate them into business opportunities
•    Creating business recommendations based on market and customer insights
•    Developing, driving, and implementing complex customer-oriented business development projects with relevant stakeholders
•    Ensuring knowledge sharing with relevant functions regarding future customer needs and long-term market trends
•    Engaging with customers and sales channels through regular visits
•    Exploring new sales channels and go-to-market models
•    Driving or participating in customer-oriented business development pilot projects
•    Representing the segment at events like exhibitions, customer events, and seminars.

 

Your background: 
We imagine that you have: 

 

•    Master's degree in engineering, science or business
•    At least 5 years of experience in business development or a similar function with a proven track record of successful results
•    Good knowledge of best practices in business development in the regional market
•    Cross-functional cooperation skills and an interest in business development in both local and global environments
•    Competencies should include:
•    Project management and decision-making leadership skills
•    A strategic mindset to understand the big picture and translate it into tactical initiatives
•    An explorative mindset to see opportunities rather than limitations
•    Commercial understanding and experience
•    Customer-centric, accountable, and collaborative working style
•    Self-driven change agent with enhanced prioritization skills
•    Enthusiastic, persistent and having a "can-do attitude"
•    Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Flexibility and ability to change and fast learning
•    Comprehensive communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal)
•    Interpersonal skills to work with all levels
•    Positive and self-confident, able to work in a time-sensitive setting
•    A willingness to travel
•    Fluency in the written and spoken local language and a minimum of an IELTS level 6 in English.
