Engineering Software Developer, Bjerringbro (Denmark), Hybrid

 

We are looking for an Engineering Software Developer to join our awesome R&D team in Bjerringbro, reporting to Lasse Søgaard Ledet, R&D Manager.

 

What is the job about ?

You will facilitate automation, customization and development of new and existing engineering tools and align requirements and needs across our divisions.

You will also establish and implement best practices of Software Development in the engineering part of the organization at the appropriate abstraction level.

 

Your main responsibilities will be (but not limited to) :

  • Develop new software and engineering tools for our stakeholders in product development, sales and for our customers
  • Drive automation of our existing engineering tools/apps and simulation capabilities
  • Make our tools user-friendly and available to our key stakeholders across Grundfos e.g., through easily accessible (web-based) apps
  • Customize tools to match the requirements and needs of our stakeholders
  • Own and be responsible for maturing and maintaining our tools/apps
  • Work closely together with our experienced team of engineers to develop new tools and capabilities to accelerate time-to-market, leverage innovation and make better, more robust and sustainable products
  • Ensure traceability from the tools to support our Product Lifecycle Management journey

 

Your background
We imagine that you have :

  • a Master’s degree in Software Development or Computer Science with a solid understanding of physics or Engineering, or
  • a Master’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical, fluid mechanics, electronics, mechatronics or similar) with a solid experience in software development or computer science
  • about 3 to 5 years of experience in an R&D environment
  • expert knowledge and solid technical skills within software development, engineering or physics
  • solid experience and knowledge about python programming
  • great communication skills to set direction and taking the lead in projects
  • it comes natural to question status quo and encourage innovation through creativity, innovation and speed
