As our new Director of Strategic Growth Platforms, you will be driving programmatic M&A, post-merger integration excellence, and strategic growth initiatives across the entire Grundfos Group — from target screening and business case development through to PMI handover. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Group Strategy team, you'll create impact by Leading the build-out of world-class M&A and integration capabilities that accelerate Grundfos' strategic ambitions and deliver lasting value from every acquisition..

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Drive and initiate programmatic M&A across the Grundfos Group — lead target screening, funnelling, profiling, business case elaboration, and progress reporting through to PMI implementation
  • Build functional M&A excellence by developing best-in-class competencies, ways of working, and a group-wide cross-functional PMI playbook and toolset
  • Prepare M&A decision material for the M&A Steering Committee, Group Management, and the Board of Directors
  • Lead cross-functional post-merger integration from closing through transition to business owners, ensuring value capture and operational continuity
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Group Management, Divisional Leadership Teams, and Functional Heads on strategic growth opportunities and key strategic projects
  • Own department performance — set objectives, drive operational efficiency, and deliver concrete execution plans aligned with group strategy

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a strategic, hands-on M&A leader who combines deep deal experience with strong people leadership and the ability to influence across a complex, matrixed global organization. We would also imagine that you have:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in M&A, M&A consulting, or corporate development with a strong track record of end-to-end deal execution and post-merger integration
  • Proven leadership experience in an international, matrixed organization with demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams
  • Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives in complex, global business environments
  • A compelling blend of technology understanding, M&A expertise, and strategic thinking

 

It is a plus if you also:

  • Knowledge of the water industry, pump technology, or the broader energy sector
  • Experience building programmatic M&A capabilities or PMI centers of excellence from the ground up
  • Background combining management consulting and corporate-side M&A roles
