Do you see yourself as the anchor for all strategic activities in Grundfos’ Global Laboratory that aims at validation and improvement of simulation models across all laboratory disciplines such as mechanics, electronics, vibroacoustic, and fluid mechanics?

You will coordinate the laboratory support for Grundfos’ simulation driven development (SDD) strategy between the Global Laboratory and our internal and external collaboration partners to ensure fast development through extensive use of in-depth validated simulation capabilities and advanced integration of test and simulation.

What is the job about?
You will be responsible for driving and facilitating all the laboratory activities that directly support Grundfos’ SDD journey in all aspects of analysis, coordinating the Laboratory strategic SDD initiative, as well as driving larger initiatives and task forces.

Furthermore, you will be:
•    Responsible for defining collaboration structures and driving the Community of Practice (CoP) of the Laboratory SDD initiative to coordinate the evaluation of existing simulation models across all relevant disciplines.
•    Developing and maintaining a roadmap to identify required laboratory capabilities.
•    Representing Grundfos to push forward our ambition to deliver product data based on analytical models and simulation models in technical work groups and standardization bodies.
•    Driving strategies for validation/verification of simulation models in collaboration with our internal collaboration partners and support the implementation of test through simulation in our product development.
•    Performing technical feasibility studies in collaboration with the Laboratory technicians and engineers to verify the accuracy and usability of the simulation models.
•    Optimizing our SDD test processes, workflows and methods and ensure they are established by challenging your colleagues to install best practices.
•    Coaching and training of colleagues across the global organization in relation to the Global Laboratory SDD initiative.

What do you need to apply?
You are proactive and pragmatic and have a holistic mindset; Self-driven and independent with ability to solve problems with little guidance and a strong sense for quality and details; Outgoing, present and understand how to support and engage people.

Additionally, we imagine that you have:
•    An MSc degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics engineering or equivalent;
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in advanced engineering;
•    Experience with project management within a large and complex R&D organization;
•    Expert knowledge in mechanical, electrical, vibroacoustic, or fluid mechanics;
•    Knowledge of experimental testing and Design of Experiments (DoE);
•    Knowledge of design simulations (FEA, CFD) and simulation model validation;
•    Fluent in both Danish and English.
