Sales & Customer Support
Chief Business Development Manager
Job Description

Are you passionate about turning customer and market insights into sharper business decisions and stronger differentiation? Join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life.

As our new Chief Business Development Manager, you will lead the Insights Excellence & Differentiation pillar within CBS Business Development, driving priorities, capability development, and execution to strengthen an outside-in, evidence-based approach across the organization.

You'll be part of a diverse, supportive, and inclusive culture that celebrates differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and belonging.

What you will be doing

As a key member of the CBS Business Development team, you will help create stronger value propositions, clearer differentiation, and more successful innovation by embedding customer, market, and application insights into business decisions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Owning and evolving the Insights Excellence & Differentiation capability, including xRL Excellence, Eyes & Ears, Dovetail, and Insight-to-Decision methodologies
  • Driving customer, market, and application insights that support strategic decisions, innovation, and portfolio priorities
  • Providing day-to-day leadership, direction, and prioritization across the pillar through influence and stakeholder engagement
  • Supporting business development projects and Project Decision Boards with high-quality evidence and actionable recommendations
  • Developing best practices, learning concepts, and thought leadership to strengthen insight capabilities across CBS
  • Acting as a trusted sparring partner to the Head of Business Development and senior stakeholders across Product Management, Sales Development, GT&I, and CBS Leadership

What makes you a great fit

You are a strategic, insight-driven business development leader with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead through influence across organizational boundaries. We also imagine that you have:

  • Significant experience in strategic business development, market intelligence, or customer insights in a complex B2B environment
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate capability areas through influence, collaboration, and subject matter expertise without formal authority
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including practical use of AI tools to support decision-making
  • Excellent executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with insight management tools such as Dovetail or similar platforms
  • A background in innovation and portfolio management processes
  • Familiarity with technology trend analysis and application-level market intelligence

Why you will love working here

We care. You can look forward to:

  • Flexible working arrangements, including home-working opportunities and parental support
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance, and a strong focus on well-being
  • Three additional paid volunteering days each year
  • Access to on-demand learning, training, and structured development programs
