CSSC Back Office Engineer

As our new CSSC Applications Engineer, you will be providing advanced technical support and application engineering for pump and controls systems, partnering with customers and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet complex specifications. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Customer Sales & Service Center (CSSC) team, you'll create impact by Delivering expert technical guidance and engineered solutions that help customers solve their most challenging pumping applications while driving a seamless sales experience..

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Provide advanced technical support for pump and controls applications, including reviewing specifications, preparing bids, proposals, submittals, and compliance statements
  • Support the Grundfos sales team by building strong customer relationships, selecting the right products, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process
  • Respond to customer inquiries on pricing, product selection, and deliveries via phone, email, and live chat, documenting all interactions in the CRM system
  • Deliver value engineering recommendations and aftermarket parts support, guiding customers through responsible product installation
  • Provide technical coaching to team members and customers on pumping technology and Grundfos products
  • Communicate customer feedback for product development and process improvement across departments

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a technically strong applications engineer with a customer-first mindset, capable of translating complex pump and controls specifications into winning proposals while thriving in a fast-paced, multi-channel service environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics preferred) or equivalent technical discipline, or equivalent experience in a technical role within the pump industry
  • 3-4 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or a related technical customer-facing role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to review technical specifications and prepare bid proposals for pumps and controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with controls and control systems
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and managing customer interactions across multiple channels
  • Ability to train engineers and customers on pumping technology and products
