What is the job about?

The Application Engineer will provide world-class customer service by delivering timely and effective technical advice. As an integral member of the team, you'll be responsible for providing technical quotations, information, advice, and assistance to maintain and improve our customer relationships.

This position reports directly to the CSSC Manager and will ideally operate daily from the Apodaca, N.L. facility. However, the role also has the option to be located in the following sites: Cota, Colombia; Quilicura, Chile; or Lurín, Perú. Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported, and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the listed countries without assistance.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Assist Customers with product sizing, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, prices, etc. to ensure practical functionality of the solution
  • Collaborate with Customers and follow up within set SLA to deliver top-notch Customer service
  • Coordinate with suppliers to process special orders and inquiries
  • Support sales teams with project and tender handling, including specification calculations, time of delivery, operation, and maintenance
  • Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with external sales
  • Maintain customer master data for their portfolio of customers
  • Communicate and collaborate with product segment experts or other suppliers for local problem solving

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a related field
  • Previous experience within customer service, including relevant administrative experience, organizational skills, and customer accountability
  • Customer-centric experience
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Fundamental product and application knowledge, including the ability to interpret type keys, identify pumps vs spare parts and kits vs motors, and identify where the product is built (though this is not essential)
  • Good communication and networking skills, as well as the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English
