Leadership
Back Office Manager/Application Engineering Manager
Job Description

Are you a technical leader passionate about building high-performing engineering teams that deliver exceptional customer support and drive operational excellence? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.

As our new Back Office Manager (Application Engineering Manager), LATAM, you'll be leading and developing a Back Office Engineering team that delivers accurate, timely technical solutions and quotations while driving continuous improvement across processes and customer experience in Latin America. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

You will follow a hybrid work model based in our office in Apodaca, Monterrey.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the LATAM Back Office Engineering team, you'll create impact by building a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement that ensures customers receive best-in-class support and pumping solutions.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Back Office Engineering team — setting clear expectations, managing performance, and building technical capabilities and career growth paths.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex customer inquiries, product selection, and pumping solutions, reviewing and approving quotations and proposal packages.
  • Monitor team performance using CRM, Power BI, and ERP tools to track productivity, response times, quotation quality, and customer satisfaction — driving data-informed decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance the team's ability to exceed customer expectations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Product Specialists, and Engineering to resolve issues, support business growth, and improve execution.
  • Manage workload planning, resource utilization, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning to ensure consistent team coverage and readiness.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you're a results-driven technical leader with deep applications engineering expertise, a track record of developing high-performing teams, and a passion for process improvement and customer excellence. We'd also imagine that you are/have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or technical customer support, preferably within the pump, HVAC, or modular solutions industry.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing people in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) for performance management and data-driven decision-making.

It's a plus if you also have:

  • Experience with pumping systems, and related applications.
  • Proven track record leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency in addition to English.

Please note that relocation is not supported for this role. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in Mexico without sponsorship.

Why you'll love working here

Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering.
  • On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.

Valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to a safe and compliant hiring process, final candidates may be required to undergo a background check, subject to applicable local laws and regulations.
