As our new Application Engineer – Digital Solutions, you will be serving as the technical expert for our digital solutions portfolio — combining software, hardware, and IoT expertise to ensure customers successfully onboard, adopt, and expand their use of Grundfos digital offerings across global markets. This position reports to the Digital Customer Success Regional Manager, part of the WU sales organization. It will operate on a hybrid schedule from our facility in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in Mexico without support now or in the future.


What you will be doing

 

As a key part of the Digital Customer Success team, you'll create impact by Driving measurable customer outcomes by ensuring the continuous, reliable operation of digital solutions that help manage the world's most vital resource — water.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain deep technical expertise across our digital solutions, the applications they serve, and the Grundfos components they integrate with.
  • Provide proactive technical support for active subscriptions — configuring solution apps, delivering customer outcome reports, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve incidents escalated by local sales, service teams, or customers directly, collaborating with 2nd-level support to ensure timely case closure and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by creating documentation, tools, and scripts that enhance support processes and team efficiency.
  • Build trusted partnerships with customers using our digital solutions — identifying champions, generating success stories, and fostering a community of engaged digital users.

What makes you a great fit

 

Above all, you are a technically sharp, customer-centric professional with hands-on experience in IoT, remote monitoring, or digital platforms, combined with a strong troubleshooting mindset and the communication skills to build trust with global stakeholders. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of or experience with electronic monitoring systems, SCADA, telemetry, IoT devices, or software-based data management and analytics platforms.
  • Experience implementing customer support processes including onboarding, training, and hypercare.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

 

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Experience in water utility or building services applications.
  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Familiarity with customer success methodologies, adoption metrics, or subscription-based service models.
