As our new Americas Sales Director- Water & Industry East, you will be providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all sales activities across the Americas, driving revenue growth, margin performance, and market expansion through internal sales teams, distribution partners, key accounts, and aftermarket channels. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Water & Industry Business Unit team, you'll create impact by Shaping market strategy and commercial execution across the Americas to deliver sustainable water solutions that make a real difference for industries and communities.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a high-performance sales organization spanning internal teams, distributors, representatives, and key account structures across the Americas (USA East and Mexico and Central America)
- Manage budget planning, sales forecasting, resource allocation, and financial performance to achieve bookings, revenue, and margin targets
- Develop and continuously refine market segment strategies, identifying emerging trends and translating insights into actionable commercial plans
- Lead complex commercial negotiations including multi-party contracts, pricing strategies, and terms & conditions
- Partner with Product Management to shape portfolio direction, product lifecycle priorities, and value propositions through business case development
- Serve as a key member of the BU leadership team, driving cross-functional alignment with Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, and Development Engineering
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a strategic and entrepreneurial commercial leader with deep technical knowledge of centrifugal pump products, strong interpersonal presence, and a track record of building high-performing sales organizations across complex channel structures. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor's degree required; minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years of managerial experience with demonstrated success leading sales teams across multiple channels
- Deep technical knowledge of centrifugal pump products, applications, and service models
- Demonstrated commercial acumen including expertise in complex sales channels, pricing structures, and contract negotiations
- Must reside near a major metropolitan area East of the Mississippi River close to a major airport
It is a plus if you also:
- MBA strongly preferred
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI and advanced Microsoft applications
- Experience leading sales operations across the Americas region in industrial or water technology sectors
You'll also be available for travelling up to 40% travel domestically and 20% internationally with 20% time at the Indianapolis corporate office days per year.

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$184,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Peerless/Grundfos total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos/Peerless salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
